Oh ... I don't want to make a purchase decision. The Acer has 4K per eye (video / photo) is a steroscopic camera. Xreal Beam Pro only has 1920x1080 and is integrated into an Xreal ecosystem. Acer's ecosystem consists mainly of video conferencing and CAD support on MS Windows. As an Apple user, I am more looking for a good camera with high resolution for “spatial” videos and a simple workflow :-)

​@@tv-zc7ypI'm interested in stereoscopic 3D shooting and, so far, the Acer is looking like a solid choice. There isn't much sample footage out there so appreciate you posting clips. Would love to see more.

i own XReal Beam Pro 8gb version and it looks much worse than the samples provided here

The camera was purchased in the German Acer store. I have not yet found it in other countries. The best.... Search for item no. FF.R2BAA.001 several times a day. Always sold out quickly. Had also seen it on the German “ebay”

Es laufen 5,7 oder 8K Video auf dem M1 Macbook. Man kann auch ruckelfrei schneiden. Nur die App. so wie sie hier läuft hat die gleichen Restriktionen wie auf einem iPhone oder iPad. Es werden nur 4k exportiert :-(

It is true that newer versions do not work. Insta has not unlocked them / put a lock on them. The app works only up to version 1.4.11

Hello Cristobal, Unfortunately Insta360 has not released the iOS app for M1 processors and Big Sur or has not made it universal. An error message comes. With the latest version of macOS 11.4, only an older version runs via "side loading" on the Mac with M1 chip. Insta Studio app has received some adjustments and is now faster during rendering. But of course it doesn't have the same functions as the iOS app.

@@tv-zc7yp Is it possible to still download that version via Side Loading? Can i directly upload stories without using my phone? I understand that under this method, all the procedure is done through wifi and only once rendering it goes to the computer? Do i need in that case a MicroSD adapter for general purposes? I really want be mindfull of your time!! Many thanks in advance

For the Vuze Xr you need a gimple. I would check out Insta360. But there is no VR180 possibility.

Hello Denis, it is not possible to download it directly from the app store because this app is not approved/compiled by Insta360 as "Universal". But with the program iMazing it is possible. Here are the instructions :-) www.macrumors.com/how-to/install-any-ios-app-m1-mac/

@@MauroMognon Unfortunately not. As long as Insta360 does not offer / recompile the iOS app as "Universal" in the app store. Only then it is visible for M1 with Big Sur.

@@tv-zc7yp Thanks, that's what I suspected. Right now I do most of my framing in the Insta360 PC app & then final editing & titles in Resolve 16. For Shot Lab effects I do it in the iOS app on my iPhone 7 Plus then export to Photos & transfer to my iMac using AirDrop. Could maybe do something similar here.

@@jimsetterlund3557 Hi Jim, This video is about how the Insta360 app from an iPhone runs on the new Apple Silicon M1 processor. A lot of iOS app run native on this chip. Your iMac doesn't have an M1 chip, so the only option is to transfer the clips to your iPhone 7. Use the effects there and then transfer them to the iMac and edit them in Resolve. With a new Mac with M1 processor the step over the iPhone would be skipped. 1) import from an Insta360 over WiFi, 2.) Using the app. and exporting to photos. 3) import then into Resolve. If Insta360 would optimize the applications (iOS and Insta Studio) for the M1 chip, the new Mac's would be able to optimize the workflow much better and would also render much faster.

@@tv-zc7yp understand, that's what I do except my iPhone is below minimum specs for the iOS app so it does not work that well. Most of what I do is on the PC version of the program after copying the files over using a USB card reader. Best results seems to be with export in 4k from the Insta360 PC program then clean up (sharpen, de-noise & colour correct) and combine clips & add transitions in Resolve. Ideal would be to have both the PC and iOS app on one machine so I could edit in the PC program & also do ShotLab affects in the iOS app when wanted. My 2015 iMac really struggles in Resolve if I do anything in Fusion or apply any LUT's which is why I'm looking at computers. Thought an M1 MacBook would tie me over until the new Apple Silicon iMac's come out.

Danke! Die Aufnahmen wurden mit einer Vuze XR in 5,7K / 180° und 3D gemacht. Danach mit Vuze VR Studio zusammengefügt. Umwandlung in ein 360° Format mit VR180 Creator. Dann in Final Cut Pro geschnitten. FCP X unterstütz leider nur das 360 Format.

@@tv-zc7yp Danke für die schnelle Antwort. Ich habe auch eine XR und eine YI VR 360. Bearbeite die VR 180 mit DaVinci Resolve 15 und die VR 360 Videos Powerdirector 17. Nur suche ich ein Programm, das die 5,7K für 180 auch so rendert....
